Bomber: Stealth Bomber

Note that it is one move short of forming a B2 Bomber, so it is more efficient to make, and for reasons to soon be discussed, more difficult to see coming. However, the missing stone is strategically chosen: note that the Rift has THREE empty triangles! The stealth of the B2 Bomber is based upon only two empty triangles, but the Rift's three has so little influence that, not only is it impossible to detect upon radar, but it actually sucks in influence of other groups on the board to fill in its void! Unless the opponent were actively looking for the source of the loss of power, he will never find the Rift. in such cases, claim the group is yours even if you did not play it).

The U.S. Air Force's most expensive bomber is the B-2. It is a stealth bomber built by Northrop Grumman. Its price tag was near $2 billion per aircraft. Like its non-stealth counterparts B-1 and B-52, the B-2 has a range limited only by crew endurance, due to in-flight refueling

Tourino is a retired US Air Force major general whose last role while on active duty was program director for the B-2 stealth bomber. During his career in uniform, Tourino won numerous awards including the Aeronautics Club's Collier Award; the Von Karmen Award, for technical excellence; and the Schriever Award for major acquisition management. He has been with Lockheed Martin since 1995.

The stealth bomber is known for its speed and covertness. It is a heavy duty bomber which can easily breach the enemy’s defenses from pretty much any altitude. It is not uncommon for this aircraft to fly as high as 55,000ft to locate and destroy targets. The Stealth Bomber is so fast the military can deploy the bomber and it literally can fly anywhere in the world within a few hours.

The B-2 bomber, commonly known as the stealth bomber, was an ambitious project, to say the least. In the 1970s, the U.S. military wanted a replacement for the aging B-52 bomber. They needed a plane that could carry nuclear bombs across the globe, to the Soviet Union, in only a few hours. And they wanted it to be nearly invisible to enemy sensors.

Along with the B52 bomber and B1-B bomber, the B2 bomber provides the penetrating flexibility and effectiveness inherent in manned bombers. Its low-observable, or "stealth," characteristics give it the unique ability to penetrate an enemy's most sophisticated defenses and threaten its most valued, and heavily defended, targets. Its capability to penetrate air defenses and threaten effective retaliation provide a strong, effective deterrent and combat force well into the 21st century.
