The current alpha build of Bomber 2 is running with all features enabled both on the standard MIDP 2.0 emulator as well as on a Motorola V3 handset. Some porting issues remain, particularly in the area of adapting to varying screen sizes. An initial release is planned as soon as these issues are solved.

The Bomber opened in 1936 as Baldwin's Diner. In the 1940s the name was changed to the Bomber; only to be discarded in favor of Bob's Barbecue in the mid- 1970s. Finally in 1986, the name Bomber returned and the current owner's John Sebestyen and Johanna McCoy purchased it in 1995.

Whiteman AFB, Mo., is now the B2 bomber's only operational base. Their first aircraft, Spirit of Missouri, was delivered December 17, 1993. Depot maintenance responsibility for the B2 bomber is performed by Air Force contractor support.

The third quarter saw the Bomber offense start to take off, though you couldn't tell by the score. Pasco's first possession ended with a 49-yard Luc Graff punt that pinned the Bombers back to their own 1-yard line. That's when the Richland offense embarked on a long drive to nowhere. Marcelino found his groove, ripping off several nice runs including a 19-yard scamper. Jamison Rowe ... got into the act, catching a 25 yard pass from Haworth. All went for naught as Marcelino fumbled the ball on the three yard line and watched the ball wiggle out of the end zone for a touchback.

Funding is provided and volunteers are coordinated to help build a new home for the family. -- A Missouri family, overwhelmed with bills and with limited income while the primary bread-winner serves in Iraq, faces foreclosure. Mortgage assistance is arranged to keep them in their home while their finances are straightened out.
