Since 1998, the “exceptional” and “very good” responses from government customers regarding Boeing AS’ performance have gone up 23 percent. So far in 2003, the exceptional responses have nearly doubled those in 2002 and represent nearly 60 percent of the responses received. Another survey of customers, conducted by an independent third party, shows positive responses improved from nearly 60 percent in 2001 to more than 75 percent positive in 2002.

After the X-Wing rocket aficionados, here's some cool and real rocket action: this video shows Boeing's successful test of their Ground-Based Midcourse Defense system. They launched a long-range ballistic missile from Alaska to destroy it minutes later using an interceptor missile from Vandenberg AFB in California. It's the second test of this kind, but according to Boeing, this one gives them "greater confidence" that the system will "defend the nation:" more

The lawyers had provided four experts with the court documents and Boeing quality control reports from 1999 and 2000. All four experts, who are certified by the FAA to make decisions about aircraft engineering or airworthiness on behalf of the agency, and one additional expert hired by The Post to review the same documents said they believed that practices at Ducommun and Boeing were seriously flawed.

In 1988, trichloroethylene was found in Moses Lake, Washington drinking-water wells near a Boeing-owned underground storage tank. Trichloroethylene is a birth defect and cancer-causing solvent. Boeing denied responsibility for the contamination and claimed it had lost records kept on the facility. However, Boeing admitted that the company had dumped trichloroethylene directly onto the ground only two miles from the well. In 1993, the area was made a federal Superfund site.
