Boeing will be the prime contractor for the HH-47. The program office is responsible for the total design, weapons system integration, production, training crews and maintainers, and support of the CSAR platform. Primary suppliers and teammates include Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, ITT, Northrop Grumman, CAE and BAE.

Picture Boeing has acknowleged problems with some of its 787 suppliers, including Vought, who are responsible for production of the composite wings and fuselage sections of the Dreamliner. Boeing has ... said these issues are being addressed and will not prevent the Dreamliner from being delivered on time next May to All Nippon Airways of Japan.
Earlier this year, Boeing began work to transform its 777 assembly line into a leaner and more efficient production system. This initial use of a moving line during final assembly represents substantial progress with that transformation effort.

Over the years, the basic design form of the 707 was preserved in many of the Boeing jets which followed. The standard fuselage width of the 707, for instance, is shared by the 727, the 737 and the 757. By the time its production run ended in 1991, over one thousand Boeing 707s had been constructed. Ultimately, the 707 proved to be a bet which paid huge dividends for Boeing.

The agreement extends the current contract from and gives Curtiss-Wright exclusive rights to manufacture products for Boeing production airplanes including 747 leading edge slat actuators; 737 and 767 trailing edge flap actuators; 777 flap position gearboxes; 767 and 777 cargo door actuators; 747, 767 and 777 cargo hold smoke detectors, and various flight control and position sensors.
