Boeing: Contracts
built 643 days ago
Boeing St. Louis gave $1 million to the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) Business Consortium Fund (BCF). The BCF provides contract financing to certified ethnic minority businesses across America through a network of local participating certified lending banks and regional councils.

*Boeing acquired MCDonnell Douglas in 1997, making Boeing a major defense contractor. The $14 billion purchase was subsidized by the Pentagon’s payment for executive bonuses, layoffs and other "restructuring costs" under the 1993 "Payoffs for Layoffs" legislation which passed with military contractor political contributions ($10 million in 1996).
On October 10, 2001, Boeing lost to its rival Lockheed Martin in the fierce competition for the multi-billion dollar Joint Strike Fighter contract. Boeing’s entry, the X-32, was rejected in favor of Lockheed’s X-35 entrant.
Both Sears and Druyun have agreed to cooperate with the ongoing investigation into Boeingメs contracts. Druyun is currently serving a nine-month sentence for violating federal conflict-of-interest regulations. It is unclear how much jail time, if any, Sears will receive.
