Boeing was one of seven companies competing for the Advanced Tactical Fighter. Boeing's entry was not selected but, as part of an agreement with General Dynamics and Lockheed, all three companies would participate in the development if one of the three company's design was selected. The Lockheed design was eventually selected and developed into the F-22 Raptor.

The 737-700ER has the longest range capability of any 737 commercial family member, and is able to serve new nonstop, point-to-point routes profitably.

Nov. 16, 2004 – A top Boeing executive admitted in court yesterday that while his company was working out a contract with the Department of Defense, he offered a job to the person representing the Air Force at the negotiation table. The guilty plea today by Boeingメs former chief financial officer, Michael Sears, came after Darleen Druyun, the Air Force official with whom Boeing was negotiating, admitted that she had allowed the company to charge taxpayers excessively for refueling tankers. Druyun had then left the Air Force to take a preferred position at Boeing.
