Body Painting: Models
built 639 days ago
In body painting, a wide range of ideas are taken from various sources like alternative art, fine arts, rune, mythologies, and even current affairs. They can be related to occasions or events like political protest movements or sports events, like soccer. In the post 1960s era, several experimental methods were tried out, such as a model being covered with paint and rolled on a canvas so that the paint was transferred there. Depending on the paints used, whether multi-hued or in monotones, the images that were created could be very interesting. Usually... the paints are applied using paintbrushes, airbrushes, natural sea sponges, or just by the fingers and hands. These days the paints that are used are non-allergenic, non-toxic, and are easily washable.

Full of exquisite, full color photographs, this book is like no other book on body painting. The level of detail is incredible! The women model signs of the zodiac, complex geometric patterns, and strikingly beautiful and intricate abstract designs in a multitude of colors. But most impressive are the models who "wear" everything from sexy lingerie to shorts with suspenders. You'll find it hard to believe it's paint! No two designs are remotely similar!

To get the smoothest finish, use foam brushes and rollers and for large body areas or full body painting, 2”-3” widths are good, with 1.5”-1” for edges and details. Keep some extra as dry latex will continue to stick to the latex dried on the model and make things very uncomfortable for him or her. Dip brushes in water while working on other body parts and squeeze them out before using again.
