Bob Marley's music has continuously grown in popularity in the years since his death, providing a stream of revenue for his estate and affording him a mythical status in 20th century music history. He remains enormously popular and well-known all over the world, particularly so in Africa. Marley was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. Time magazine chose Bob Marley & The Wailers' Exodus as the greatest album of the 20th century.

Bob Marley then went to London and recorded his next two albums ‘Exodus’ and ‘Kaya’ which included the hit songs ‘Exodus’, ‘Waiting in Vain’, ‘Jamming’ and ‘One Love’. ‘Exodus’ stayed on the British music charts for 56 consecutive weeks. The video taped interview with Reggae musician, Bob Marley was recorded at a Wailers' concert in Minneapolis, Minnesota in1976 at Orchestra Hall. At the time of this interview, portable video cameras were almost exclusively used by broadcast television stations and were know as ENG or Electronic News Gathering cameras. They were huge and expensive.

This rare interview with Bob Marley was recorded in 1976 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was excerpted from the television program, "Reggae Music" that aired in Minnesota on KTCA-TV. It has not been viewed since then.

In 1963 Bob Marley, Bunny Livingstone and Peter Tosh and others joined together to form a band. They initially called themselves ‘The Teenagers’ but later on changed the names several times, finally settling themselves on the name ‘The Wailers’. Bob Marley began to sing along with composing the music and lyrics for the band. They recorded two songs called ‘I’m Still Waiting’ and ‘It Hurts to be Alone’ with record producer Clement Dodd. Dodd ... gave Bob a place to stay in the back room of the recording studio and in return Bob would do assignments for Dodd.
