The new law in NJ requires that after June 1st, 2007, all boaters that were born in 1959 or later possess a valid NJ state issued Boating Safety Certificate. On 6/1/08 the cutoff will be 1949 and on6/1/09 all NJ boaters will need a valid certificate.
