3. Blue Hawk -- Blue Hawks
   The Blue Hawk men’s track team scored 265 points to clinch their third consecutive DAC indoor title, which concluded on Saturday, February 24, in Spearfish, SD. Nine Dickinson State University men’s athletes won individual titles and two relay teams (4x200 meter and 4x400 meter) took first place as well. The DSU women ... had an impressive showing, though their 196 points could only gain 2nd place. Three Blue Hawks brought home individual titles. In two weeks, the Hawks will travel to Johnson City, TN for the NAIA National Indoor meet March 8-10.
4. Blue Shark -- Blue Sharks
   Lithe as a snake and graceful as any bird, the Blue Shark (Prionace glauca) is among the most beautiful of sea creatures. Its long snout pocked with large, white-rimmed eyes, elegant, scimitar-shaped pectoral fins, and flanks of brilliant ultramarine render this shark easily recognizable. But a cluster of subtler features make it ideally suited to the challenges of the open sea.
5. Blue Hawaii
   The name "Blue Hawaii" is related only indirectly to the 1961 Elvis Presley film of the same name, and apparently derives instead from the film's title song, a hit composed by Leo Robin for the 1937 Bing Crosby film Waikiki Wedding. It was Yee who named the drink which, along with the films and songs, many other tropical drinks he invented, and tiki bars such as Trader Vic, did much to popularize a faux Hawaiian tiki culture, both in Hawaii itself and in the Mainland. The era was immediately pre-statehood, a time when Hawaii was thought of by most Americans as playground for the rich. Tourism and development was already significant, but all centered around Waikiki and at only a small fraction of today's levels. About 100,000 visitors per year were visiting Hawaii, compared to seven million today.[3]
6. Moody Blues
   The Moody Blues' contract with Decca Records was set to expire and they owed the label several thousands of pounds in advances. However, Deram Records (a London/Decca imprint) chose the band to make an LP in order to promote Deramic Stereo and the group was to be forgiven its debt to the label to make a rock and roll version of Antonín Dvořák's New World Symphony. The Moody Blues agreed but insisted that they be given artistic freedom and be left without supervision. They then convinced Peter Knight, who had been assigned to arrange and conduct the orchestral interludes, to collaborate on a recording of their stage show instead. Deram executives were initially skeptical about the hybrid style of the resulting concept album, Days of Future Passed (1967). However, it was to become one of the most successful commercial releases of all time.
7. Blue Cross Blue Shield -- Plans
   PLANO, Texas, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Earlier today, Perot Systems Corporation (NYSE: PER) and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) announced a mutually beneficial new contract accord. This contract modification to the 10-year outsourcing relationship signed in 2003 relates primarily to the implementation of a replacement for BCBSRI's existing LRSP system. The infrastructure, applications and business process outsourcing portions of the relationship remain substantially the same.
8. Blues Brothers -- Blues Brothers Band
   The Blues Brothers are an American blues and soul revivalist band founded in 1978 by comedians Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi as part of a musical sketch on Saturday Night Live. Belushi and Aykroyd, respectively in character as lead vocalist "Joliet" Jake Blues and harpist/vocalist Elwood Blues, fronted the band, which was composed of well-known and respected musicians. The band made its debut as the musical guest on the April 22, 1978, episode of Saturday Night Live.
