With extreme music now firmly entrenched in the mainstream, these should be good days for Seattle’s always-inventive Blood Brothers. But the way singer Jordan Blilie sees things, the band’s latest album, Young Machetes, isn’t any more likely to reach the TRL demographic than previous outings. Reached at home in the Emerald City, the thoughtful frontman reveals that he’s just been at a video shoot for the new record’s first single, “Laser Life”. One might rightfully ask why he and his bandmates bothered showing up, because Blilie doesn’t think the clip will be aired on MTV, MuchMusic, Fuse, or anywhere else.
