Bill Gates: Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates
built 138 days ago
Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates is throwing Microsoft money at a Belgian company called Anty, which is developing "an intelligent, autonomous HUGGY ROBOT." Gates is quoted in a HealthEurope article as saying, "They are creating a robot called 'Probo' (I don't like the sound of THAT. -Ed.) which will be used as a tele-interface to interact with the children on three different levels: entertainment, communication and medical treatments. The R&MM research group will take care of the mechanical part of the robot, whereas ETRO will focus on the aspects of vision, hearing and speech."

Most people will have read the recent reports of how Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates has had his personal net worth soar over 100 billion dollars and then drop down to 55 billion. He certainly knows how to make (and lose) money.

In his keynote address at the 2008 International CES in Las Vegas, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates announced that Ford will expand SYNC to nearly all Ford, Lincoln and Mercury cars and trucks by the end of 2008. Gates ... confirmed a new "911 Assist" feature that will help drivers connect with emergency assistance in the event of an air bag deployment.
In a surprise move, Microsoft chairman Bill Gates announced yesterday that he has purchased the entire calendar year of 1995. 1995 will be replaced instead by "Year-M" to be followed by actual 1995.

Gizmodo found this clip of 60 Minutes interviewing Microsoft chairman Bill Gates. Gates barely gets started explaining precisely how smart he is before a panhandler taps on the window of Dick's Drive-In Restaurant, the Seattle burger joint where Gates has just ordered a $1.70 "deluxe." Can Gates spare some change? Nah. $36 billion, maybe, but not some change.
