  1. Mr. Big
Mr. Big was one of the few "shredder" heavy metal bands (translation: its members were very proficient at their instruments) that realized that songcraft was more important than just simply playing a thousand notes per minute. The seeds for the group were sown when bass player extraordinaire Billy Sheehan (often called the Eddie Van Halen of the bass) left David Lee Roth's solo band in 1988. Almost immediately after his exit, Sheehan began piecing together a new outfit comprised of former Racer X guitarist Paul Gilbert, drummer Pat Torpey, and singer Eric Martin (the latter had issued a pair of obscure solo releases in the mid-'80s). By 1989, the newly formed quartet had already inked a recording contract with Atlantic, resulting in the release of a self-titled debut the same year. Despite causing a buzz amongst musicians, the album failed to crossover to a mainstream rock audience stateside; ... Mr. Big was an immediate smash success overseas in Japan. The quartet broadened its horizons on its sophomore effort, 1991's Lean Into It, which included the melodic psychedelic rocker "Green Tinted Sixties Mind," as well as a pair of ballads that would become sizeable hit singles: the number one smash "To Be With You" and "Just Take My Heart."
  2. The Big Sleep
Although Chandler did not achieve immediate recognition as a literary author, The Big Sleep was a success. The first American printing of 5,000 copies sold out quickly, and a second printing was required before the official publication date. Sales were good in England as well, with Hamish Hamilton releasing a second printing of the book within a month of its first publication. These figures hardly made him a best-seller, but in the mystery market of the 1930s and 1940s only a hand full of books sold more than 5,000 copies. Alfred A. Knopf was very pleased with the performance of the The Big Sleep and offered Chandler a contract for his next novel at a 20 per cent royalty for the first 5000 copies and 25 per cent afterwards. (The standard contract of the day began with a ten percent royalty, with an escalator to fifteen percent).
  3. Christopher Titus -- Big Shots
Christopher Titus is currently working in a drama called Big Shot in ABC. He has writing as well as producing deals with NBC, Sony and Showtime. He is ... the founder of The Insight Project, a non-profit organization that raises money for children who have suffered abusive backgrounds. Wikipedia
  4. Michael Powell -- Big Media
Powell frequently cites his strong commitment to the First Amendment as grounds for media deregulation. Indeed, the "Powell Doctrine" claimed Big Media had a First Amendment right to consolidate and concentrate (although it said little about the First Amendment right of the public audience to be served by a wide diversity of voices and viewpoints). But despite his championing of the First Amendment and free expression, he tried to implement his new rules quietly, without a single public hearing. Finally, when the public rebelled, Powell grudgingly held one public hearing in Richmond, Virginia.
  5. Kelly Brook -- Big Breakfast
Kelly Brook is one of England's best known models, who is regularly included in the Top 10 of most men's magazines "Sexiest Women" polls. She even ranked No. 33 on AskMen's Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2007. She was ... a TV presenter on The Big Breakfast, and got the green light for a show on the WB network called The (Mis)adventures of Fiona Plum.
  6. King Vidor -- Big Parade
As the studio system began to harden into place, Vidor found an ally in producer Irving Thalberg at MGM, who gave him full control over The Big Parade (1925), his first major work. The granddaddy of all war movies, it's a still radical exploration of the many different techniques available to an artist working in film, from tranquil, patient observation with an unmoving camera to the most intense manipulation of editing, framing and montage. It opens with shots of skyscrapers climbing upwards, symbolising commerce and achievement (and reflecting forward on the phallus and capitalism glorifying edifices of The Fountainhead). As his three very different male leads go to war, Vidor accumulates mundane incidents to create a sense of life drifting by. He wanted to film ordinary existence, which included a sense of boredom and aimlessness (Vidor greatly influenced the Italian neo-realists). A sexy clash of cultures between French Melisande (Renee Adoree) and American doughboy James (John Gilbert) climaxes in his leaving for the front.
  7. Hairstyle Pictures -- Jennifer Aniston
Those with strong waves in their hair should look for hairstyle pictures that show off and work with your hair type. Jennifer Hudson and Jessica Biel regularly wear their hair down in big, sexy waves. To get inspiration from the right hairstyle pictures, take your hair’s texture into consideration. Jessica Biel’s hair is fine in texture and will produce those perfectly tousled waves when styled right. On the other hand, Jennifer Hudson’s African American waves fall in a spiral pattern and will be prone to frizz if styled incorrectly. Get to know your own wavy hair type and look for pictures that resemble what you’ve got.
  8. Katrina -- Katrina Kaif
Fashion frenzy reached fever pitch when Katrina Kaif took to the runway for Rocky S in the first show  itself. Incidently Kaif was the show stopper for a collection designed for children.
  9. Jude Law -- Challenging
If the Oscars had a Most Beautiful Man In The World category, Jude Law would be a dead cert for the statuette. And there are probably other awards the laconic heart-throb could walk off with. Devoted Father, for example. Oh, and he's not a bad actor either.
  10. Grey's Anatomy -- Private Practice
Audiences will be all over "Private Practice," the "Grey's Anatomy" spinoff ABC debuts at 9 on Sept. 26. Kate Walsh's Addison moves to a new clinic where her co-workers include Tim Daly, Taye Diggs, Amy Brenneman, Paul Adelstein and Audra McDonald. The question is whether "Grey's" fans will love the new crew or find them lacking. And that will likely spell success or failure for the show with the season's best title, "Dirty Sexy Money," debuting at 10 on Sept. 26. Peter Krause of "Six Feet Under" stars as the new retainer to a powerful, rich, lunactic family headed by Donald Sutherland and Jill Clayburgh.
