Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born on September 4, 1981 in Houston. She got an early start in music, and was singing in the church choir and attending dance school by the time she had reached seven years old. She soon teamed up with three friends to form a band that would eventually become known as Destiny's Child, which brought her great success. She stayed with the band until 2002, when she decided to branch out on her own. This turned out to be a good decision, as her solo career is off to a successful start. Voluptuous chocolate siren Beyonce Knowles is adding yet another category to her already impressive list of hyphenates - that of executive producer. She's signed on to executive produce and star in the Darnell Martin directed period drama CADILLAC RECORDS. The film centers on the 1950s, Chicago-based record company Chess Records and the naturally troubled lives of its founder, Leonard Chess (played by Adrien Brody), and the prominent artists' the company spawned, including Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf and Chuck Berry. Knowles will play Etta James with Jeffrey Wright playing Waters, Cedric the Entertainer playing Willie Dixon and Columbus Short playing Little Walter. Knowles joins fellow hotties Emmanuelle Chriqui and Tammy Blanchard in the film. She can next be seen looking dangerously hot pretty much wherever she goes.

She and cousin Kelly Rowland met Latavia Roberson during this time, and the trio formed a group with Letoya Luckett. Beyonce Knowles appeared at NYC’s Macy’s Department store yesterday to promote her new fragrance Emporio Armani Diamonds. The Destiny’s Child singer was dressed for the promotion in a strapless emerald dress. The bodice of the classy gown was adorned with a cute bow. The first 150 people who purchased the new fragrance got the opportunity to meet Beyonce. They ... received her autograph. Beyonce Knowles will star in a new thriller”Obsessed” along with Ali Larter and Idris Elba. Steve Shill is to direct the movie, acted and produced by Beyonce and her father Matthew Knowles, for Screen Gems, reports Variety. The movie revolves around Elba, who is an asset manager married to an attractive wife (Knowles), that sees his life change when he meets a temp office worker (Larter) that begins stalking him. Obsessed is scheduled to start filming this summer.

Beyonce held auditions for a dance troupe to appear in her videos and perform live with her and now Solange is hoping to form her own band the same way. She will be holding auditions for her Hadley Street Dreams Band in her adopted home of Los Angeles on 6 March (08). And she’s hoping that her new recruits will be able to double up as dancers too. A spokesman for Knowles says, “The Hadley Street Dreams, a ’60s-inspired full band, will perform all live shows with Solange in support of her upcoming album, to be released this August (08).” Knowles’ requirements include two female backing singers, a drummer, guitar player, bass player and two pianists. Musicians who cannot make it to the March audition are invited to submit an try-out video to Knowles’ website.
