Daniel won her third Rolex Player of the Year award in 1994. All told, she has collected 33 victories in her career. A member of three victorious U.S. Solheim Cup teams in her seven appearances, Daniel has represented her country with a formidable mark of 3-1-1 in singles competition. By winning the 2003 Canadian Women's Open, Daniel -- at 46 years, 8 months and 29 days -- became the oldest player to win on the LPGA Tour, beating the record previously held by JoAnne Carner. She proved that while she already is enshrined in the World Golf Hall of Fame, she's not finished playing at the highest level.

Daniel, The Greenbrier’s LPGA Touring Professional, was the LPGA Rookie of the Year in 1979 followed by LPGA Player of the Year in 1980. Only two other players have accomplished these back to back titles – Nancy Lopez and Annika Sorenstam. Daniel has 33 tour victories and ... won LPGA Player of the Year honors in 1990 and 1994. Daniel, 50, has enjoyed a true hall-of-fame career on the LPGA Tour. She has recorded 33 career wins in 28 seasons on Tour. A three-time Rolex Player of the Year and Vare Trophy recipient, Daniel has accumulated $8,755,733 in career earnings, which ranks sixth in LPGA Tour history. She has been an eight-time participant on the U.S. Solheim Cup Team and is set to join U.S. Solheim Cup Team Captain Betsy King as assistant captain at the 2007 Solheim Cup in Halmstad, Sweden, in September.
As captain, Daniel will lead a team of 12 U.S.-born players from the LPGA in their quest to win the Solheim Cup for the third consecutive match, and to keep the U.S. team's home winning streak alive. The U.S. team has never lost when the Solheim Cup has been played in the United States.
