Bertrand Russell: South Wales
built 614 days ago
Bertrand Russell died on 2 February 1970 at his home, Plas Penrhyn, in Penrhyndeudraeth, Merionethshire, Wales of influenza. He spent the previous day quietly, but didn't feel well on the morning of 2 February and remained in bed until mid-day. That evening, while he sat reading, he suddenly fell ill. His wife and nurse, after calling his doctor, got Russell to bed and gave him oxygen, but it was to no avail. He died before the doctor arrived.
