Berita Harian is a leading national Malay-language newspaper of Malaysia, founded in 1957. It is published daily and comes in three sections: The Main paper, Ekonomi and a regional section. The five regional sections/editions are: Utara (North), Tengah (Central), South (Selatan), Johor, Timur (East) and Wilayah (Sabah/Sarawak). Included with the Berita Harian on Fridays is a popular tabloid titled: Joran - an exclusive on fishing. With education as an important sector, Berita Harian has a series of tabloids for the school going population. Didik for primary school pupils, Minda Pelajar for secondry school students and Skor for school leaners on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday.

By promoting this concept called Akhbar Dalam Pendidikan ( ADD ) in Bahasa Malaysia, Berita Harian dedicates two columns, ADD and Bengkel Guru. ADD explains the concept which is basically encouraging the usage of newspaper as a teaching material in classes whereas Bengkel Guru provides ideas for teachers.
KUALA LUMPUR: About 2.5 million Berita Harian readers can look forward to various agriculture articles in the nation's No.1 newspaper soon. The articles will be contributed by Universiti Putra Malaysia Alumni which has more than 100,000 members. These articles will be published every week on a same day, which will be decided later.

Covers 2003- . Berita harian was launched on 1 July 1957 as a daily newspaper in the language of the Singapore's Malay community. Filmed in order on the same reel, Berita Minggu is the Sunday edition of the Berita Harian, and was first published on 10 July 1960. Both now published by Singapore Press Holdings, their circulations in 2002 stood at 63,000 and 70,000 respectively.
