Mussolini, Benito (1883-1945), was the Fascist dictator of Italy from 1922 to 1943. As a one man government, he centralized the entire power in himself as "the leader" (the reputation of Il Duce) of the Fascist party, in the process attempting to recreate another Italian Empire.
