In the aftermath of the assassination of Benazir Bhutto there was a lot of noise from the media establishment about the lack of foreign policy experience of some totally beltway unserious candidates like Huckabee. As this post so clearly shows, could a candidate with no foreign policy expertise possibly do any worse for America than the so called experts have done during the Bush administration?

Benazir Bhutto never gave up on this winning strategy. As the NYT writes, “she kept up her visits to Washington, usually several a year.� She continued to cultivate friends amongst the Washington elite, including the Congress and the media. In the first six months of 2007 alone, Benazir Bhutto spent $250,000 in lobbying fees to gain access to Washington insiders.

Benazir Bhutto has not died on any bullets or sharpen from the bomb blast but she has died of head injury as she ducked as the bomb or the bullets were fired at her car. Interior Minister has said she has no bullet marks or any wounds on her body.

“Benazir Bhutto was immediately taken to her ancestral Bilawal House after the blast,” Interior Ministry spokesman Javed Cheema told AFP. “She’s absolutely safe.” Rehman Malik, an aide to Ms Bhutto who was travelling with her on the truck, said the blasts went off while she was resting inside the vehicle.
