In addition, manually generating reports on rapidly growing amounts of data was timeconsuming and labor intensive for Bell Canada. As their 9-1-1 service area grew, additional analysts were required to generate and analyze reports. The need for a more robust system to generate reports was clear so that Bell Canada could regularly gauge system effectiveness and update data as needed.

BridgePort Networks will work with Bell Canada to develop and test IP technology that integrates fixed and mobile voice services. The technical trial is set to get under way in the first half of 2005.
