- Steely Dan -- Walter Becker
Other than the incidental compilation album, and collaboration between Becker and Fagen in the 80's, there were no real Steely Dan projects until the New York Rock & Soul Revue project. During one of these performances, Becker was present, and was called on stage by Fagen to play along some of their songs. They enjoyed playing live so much that it resulted in a tour, and a live album (Alive in America, 1995). They toured again in 1996 and even played some new songs that they were working on e.g."Jack of Speed." This created an enormous anticipation for the release of a new studio album (Two Against Nature), that was released in the spring of 2000, followed by a Japanese, US and European tour. - Rafael Nadal -- World
In 2003, Rafael Nadal became the second-youngest player to be ranked among the world's top 100 singles players. He finished the year in the top 50, winning two Challenger titles. At his Wimbledon debut, Nadal, then 17, became the youngest male player to reach the third round since 16-year-old Boris Becker in 1984. - Steely Dan -- Donald Fagen
Steely Dan has always been a shifty customer in the eyes of the Indie Cred Bureau and its predecessors. From their beginnings as prematurely middle-aged jazz lovers trying to sell songs to Jay and the Americans in the crumbling years of the Brill Building, to their suspicious ability to write hit songs (even if their first hit's opening lines rhymed "gunnin'" with "done in"), all the way to their reunion seemingly timed to nudge forward their induction into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame, Donald Fagen and Walter Becker have always had the huckster's instinct of how to put one over on a crowd - even, or especially, if that crowd was never particularly sure what it was getting. And it's that perversity, that pride in simultaneously fulfilling and subverting commercial imperatives, that's perhaps the most intriguing aspect of Steely Dan, their sheer unwillingness to play by the rules of hip and their often undisguised glee when, even if years or decades later, the trend-besotted hipoisie is forced to acknowledge that, yeah, Steely Dan had been there before. - Nifedipine -- Angina
Nifedipine is the prototype of the dihydropyridine class of calcium-channel antagonists. Nifedipine is available in immediate-release and extended-release dosage forms. Nifedipine is used in the treatment of Prinzmetal's angina, hypertension, and other vascular disorders such as Raynaud's phenomenon. - Commercial Collection Agency Association -- America
DAL holds the prestigious Certificate of Compliance with the Commercial Collection Agency Association (CCAA) of the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA). This means that DAL adheres to a strict Code of Ethics and uses reputable collection procedures while maintaining good will. CCAA certified membership identifies the elite in the collection industry. Only 115 of about 4,000 agencies nationwide have qualified for CCAA membership and certification by the CLLA. - Beer -- Beer Institute
The Beer Institute, established in 1986, is the national trade association for the brewing industry, representing both large and small brewers, as well as importers and industry suppliers. The Institute is committed to the development of sound public policy and to the values of civic duty and personal responsibility: www.beerinstitute.org. - Marlene Weingartner -- Capriati
Weingartner, now 22, has a residence in Saddlebrook, Florida, the same community where Capriati lives, and they have trained together on occasion. Weingartner's base remains Germany. As a child, she spent several years living in German great Boris Becker's former family home in Leimen. Her bedroom was Becker's old bedroom. Weingartner has a long way to go before she becomes Germany's next champion, and it is a good bet that some of her future opponents will be seeing more clearly and striking the ball more cleanly than Capriati was on Monday. - The Evil Dead -- Book
One of the highlights of this package is The Evil Dead Journal by Josh Becker (Director of Running Time). This is a 32 page booklet tracing Josh Becker's experiences on the set of The Evil Dead. It reads somewhere between Scott's diary and a drunken confession. It's sometimes funny and at times disturbing in its drunken and drug-fuelled paranoia. The final page of this booklet contains some web links, some of which have gone by the wayside since it was first published in 2002. - Ted Danson -- Sam Malone
Ted Danson is the prominent-jawed actor who played Sam Malone, the baseball star turned bartender on Cheers, from 1982-93. He was born in California, but grew up near Flagstaff, Arizona with Hopi and Navajo children as his friends. - Simone Signoret -- Le Chat
Starring international sex symbol Simone Signoret, CASQUE D'OR is often considered director Jacques Becker's masterpiece. Becker was an assistant to the legendary Jean Renoir, and Renoir's influence on Becker is readily apparent in this poetic, impressionist film. Signoret plays Marie, the girlfriend of a minor gangster, who falls in love with a working man. Their love affair leads to a power struggle within the gang and speeds everyone inexorably towards tragedy. CASQUE D'OR features a diligent and careful production design that recreates Paris of the late 19th century, and was based on actual criminal cases from that era. Though dismissed on its initial release in 1952, aside from a BAFTA acting award for Signoret, the critical reputation of CASQUE D'OR grew in subsequent years and is now generally considered one of France's great artistic films.
