[T]hanks to lawsuits and a United States Supreme Court decision, Bear Share had to close its doors in early 2006. It seems that the courts felt that BearShare was illegal due to its copyright issues. Because of this problem, Free Peers Company that created this program paid a huge fine in the millions and ... had to transfer its assets to a company called Music Lab.
