Battlestar Galactica The 2003 Miniseries debut of Battlestar Galactica was a "re-imagining," or updated version of the Original Series made more suitable to the modern sensibilities of the 21st Century. Aiming to tackle issues of civil rights, survival, terrorism, and religion, Battlestar Galactica is an drama following the survivors of a race of humanity—which number under 50,000. The new Battlestar was spearheaded by former Star Trek director and writer Ron D. Moore and co-produced by David Eick.
Battlestar Galactica Battlestar Galactica is an action-packed top-down space combat game set in the universe of the hugely popular sci-fi television show. Players can take part in enormous multiplayer space battles with up to eight players online or play through the single-player campaign that includes memorable missions from the TV series. Pilots can either sign up to defend the Galactica or play as the ruthless Cylons as they seek to remove the human race from existence.
Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Epic Series (Cylon Head Packaging) Set 30 years after "Battlestar Galactica," this short-lived series finds the interstellar refugees finally reaching Earth, only to discover it could not withstand a Cylon attack. Now, Adama (Lorne Greene) must secretly dispatch two Colonial warriors (Kent McCord and Barry Van Dyke) to the planet's surface in an effort to accelerate mankind's technological growth. Robyn Douglass, James Patrick Stuart co-star. All 10 episodes of the series--including the three-part "Galactica Discovers Earth," "Spaceball," the two-part "The Night the Cylons Landed," "Space Croppers," and "The Return of Starbuck"--are featured in a two-disc set. 8 hrs. total.
"Battlestar Galactica" aired for the first time on SciFi in January for an extended half-season run, quickly earning a second season after strong ratings that beat out even new episodes of "Star Trek: Enterprise" on UPN. The show is in the middle of its second season, still enjoying strong ratings despite some audience erosion seen across the board. series will end their first-half season run this month, and will return for new episodes in January.
The Battlestar Galactica science fiction franchise, which began as a 1978 TV series, was "reimagined" in 2003 into the TV miniseries. The miniseries served as a backdoor pilot for a 2004 TV series which just finished its third season. On May 31, 2007, the producers confirmed that Season 4 would be the last, and the show will end on its own terms.[1]
Take note, Battlestar Galactica fans: More lesbian action is on the schedule for Sci Fi's critically acclaimed series. Today, SyFy Portal reports some new spoilers about the BSG TV movie set to air this November. As has been widely leaked previously, the movie, titled Razor, will flash back to the Battlestar Pegasus, last seen in the Season 2 episodes "Pegasus" and the two-part "Resurrection Ship."
