Battlestar: Sci Fi Channel
built 630 days ago
Not that "Battlestar" can't hold its own. The Sci Fi Channel's flagship series boasts one of Search's most sought-after actresses—the tempting Tricia Helfer. The blonde bombshell (who plays a Cylon bent on destroying humanity) proves evil can sometimes look incredibly hot.

The Sci Fi Channel announced that the cast and creators of its award winning television series Battlestar Galactica will be on hand for a special celebration of the epic. The event, scheduled for June 6 at 8:00 p.m. at Los Angeles' Cinerama Dome, is intended for both fans and members of the Academy of the Television Arts & Sciences, various entertainment-related guilds and the Hollywood Foreign Press. The evening will ... include an all-access look at the series, featuring the cast and crew, as well as an exclusive sneak peek at the show's upcoming fourth season! Seating is limited to the first 500 fans with special seating available for members of the Academy, guilds and the Hollywood Foreign Press. For more information, contact battlestar@scifi.com.
The Sci Fi Channel was originally scared away from Caprica due to the low ratings of Battlestar Galactica, as well as the fact that the show was planned to be very story arc heavy. The network has always been a fan of more standalone episodes, and even pressured Moore to add more standalones to the third season of BSG. This tactic backfired, as both fans and critics lambasted Galactica for a run of subpar episodes.
NBC Universal Television Studio has signed a two-year development deal with Ronald D. Moore, executive producer of SCI FI Channel's original series Battlestar Galactica (http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/), to create and develop series, with an emphasis on SF projects. Moore has already set up the fantasy series Pen and the Sword for NBC and the supernatural series Warehouse 13 for SCI FI. Moore will continue to oversee Galactica, which returns with new episodes on Jan. 6.
Sierra Online has set release dates for Battlestar Galactica™, an action-packed, space combat interactive game based on the popular television series produced by Universal Media Studios and airing on SCI FI Channel. Battlestar Galactica will be available for Windows PC via top online gaming portals and in retail stores October 23, 2007 and will land on Xbox LIVE® Arcade October 24, 2007. The Battlestar Galactica interactive game is produced under license from Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group.
