Battleship: Battleships
built 649 days ago
The Imperial Japanese Navy's battleship Satsuma became the first ship in the world designed (1904) and laid down (May 1905) as an all-big-gun battleship. However, she was never armed to specification, due to shortages of the British 12-inch Armstrong guns, and was completed with a mixed armement. For this reason, the new all-big-gun battleships would not be called Satsumas but Dreadnoughts, after the first such ship actually completed, in 1906.[21] Satsuma ... retained triple-expansion engines, though her sister ship Aki, completed in 1911, used turbines.

Groups can experience a guided tour of the Battleship. From the 16-inch gun turrets to the crew's living quarters and mess, your group will experience live aboard this floating city. Schedule a catered lunch, a Barbeque on the Fantail, or a Rations lunch box in advance! Groups can even enjoy lunch and the Red White and Blue Review, a USO-style nostalgic music show performed in the Crew's Mess.

In the Baltic, action was largely limited to the raiding of convoys, and the laying of defensive minefields; the only significant clash of battleship squadrons there was the Battle of Moon Sound at which one Russian pre-dreadnought was lost. The Adriatic was in a sense the mirror of the North Sea: the Austro-Hungarian dreadnought fleet remained bottled up by the British and French blockade. And in the Mediterranean, the most important use of battleships was in support of the amphibious assault on Gallipoli.

Each purchase made using the Yard Card, at any of the participating stores, represents an opportunity for the cardholder to play the classic naval combat game, Battleship. This game of chance is made possible by a unique thermochromic process. With each transaction, the Yard Card is swiped through the Graphicard(TM) terminal which erases and reprints the information and images on the face of the card.

In this project, you will be required to write a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the battleship game. Your GUI will provide a visual interface for the text based Battleship game which was specified previously. For this project, you will not be allowed to use any user interface generation/building tools.
