Barry White continued to write and produce remarkably chart-worthy sound. His successes, "Come On" and "Practice What You Preach," which landed at #1 on the Billboard R&B chart, combined his early 70's groove sound with a 90's emphasis on lyrics and vocals.

Investigators say when a grand jury handed down the indictments on February 14, 2001, Barry White and his wife, Jennifer fled. According to officials, Jennifer Whiite called the children's foster parents and threatened them with violence. Investigators say she then had a note delivered to the oldest child and warned her that Barry would kill the young girl if she said anything about the sexual abuse. The Whites haven't been seen or heard from since.
