Baptist supports a number of health care education programs at many colleges and universities throughout the Mid-South, including the University of Mississippi, Dyersburg State Community College, Bethel College and Mississippi University for Women. Baptist's donation of property in the Medical Center district to the University of Tennessee is the largest single gift ever given to the University. In addition, Baptist has provided millions of dollars for professorships and other programs at UT over the years.

Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, Arkansas's number one hospital, is again ahead of the curve. The hospital's newest website, MyBaptistHealth.com (http://www.mybaptisthealth.com/default.asp), launched in January of 2007, provides Arkansans with an online resource for health information and services. Initial reports imply the site is an early success.
Baptist can't minister here without facing the disease that stole these boys's parents. A group of Ugandan Baptists and International Mission Board missionaries visits homes of those who come to the HIV clinic in Mbarara. They teach them about HIV, encourage them to eat healthy foods and share the Gospel with them. Grass-roots programs like this one have been credited with helping Uganda reduce the infection rate.
