Under the leadership of Bengt Jörgen, Ballet Jörgen Canada is recognized for ballets that combine innovation, warmth, humour and beauty. Ballet Jörgen Canada is the only Canadian ballet company with a repertoire consisting exclusively of original works. The Company tours across Canada and North America performing for an annual audience of over 50,000 people. It is the second largest dance company in Ontario and the largest outside the downtown core of Toronto. In 2003, Bobby Ball began his tenure as Artistic Director of Ballet Pensacola and set about communicating his vision of the future of the organization. That future included a more diverse, community based Board of Directors that could create and maintain funding initiatives that would enhance the organization. He ... established a training curriculum for the school and reshaped the production values of the performing company.

Ballet facilities include three spacious studios with state-of-the-art resilient floors in the Musical Arts Center. Performances are presented on the stage of the Musical Arts Center, which is modeled after the Metropolitan Opera House and includes the largest university performance stage in North America. Graduates of the program enjoy success as performers, choreographers, teachers, critics, administrators, and advocates for the arts.

The most famous 18th-century advocate of the dramatic ballet was the Frenchman Jean Georges Noverre, whose Letters on Dancing and Ballets (1760) influenced many choreographers both during and after his lifetime. He advised using movement that was natural and easily understood and emphasized that all the elements of a ballet should work in harmony to express the ballet'stheme. Noverre found an outlet for his ideas in Stuttgart, Germany, where he first produced his most famous ballet, Medea and Jason (1763).

Sadly Terry died in 2000 and her mother Mrs. Kathleen Dean now owns the Ballet Centre. The Ballet Centre has expanded year on year and the staff has grown to a team with 35 dedicated full and part time members. The team has been lead by the General Manager Mrs. Alison Nazim Osmanoglu since 2000.
