Backyard Wrestling: Wrestlers
built 671 days ago
Defeating the most hardcore backyard wrestlers will not be enough; as the lure of "easy money" has attracted the attention of the most violent professional wrestlers to ever set foot in a ring. When hardcore backyard brawlers, chair swinging backyard babes and blood thirsty professional wrestlers choose your town as their battle field...There Goes The Neighborhood!
Some professional wrestlers and most, if not all, professional wrestling promotions discourage backyard wrestling in public comments, because it involves legal risk to the promotions in the form of lawsuits by individuals. Several lawsuits have been brought against wrestling promotions, most prominently WWE, alleging that people have caused serious injury to others by imitating professional wrestling moves they saw on TV. As a result of this pressure, WWE now features prominent disclaimers during its programming which urges fans, "Don't try this at home."
Backyard wrestlers are both insane and tough, they would have those WWE lot running away from them like girls. They leap off roofs, whack each other with unforgiving objects and bleed a lot. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to discover that this concept would translate well as a videogame, just as long as it's done with somewhat good execution and features lots of blood and people jumping off roofs onto each other of course.

In his early days, Mick Foley was a backyard wrestler. He made home movies in his persona of Dude Love. The most famous scene, which has been aired on TV numerous times, is one in which Mick climbs to the roof of his friend's home - salutes his idol 'Superfly' Jimmy Snuka - and leaps on to a mattress below.
