Babylon: Words
built 629 days ago
The name Babylon is said to be originally used by the Babylonians to mean the "gate of god" from the word babilu but the meaning was later changed to reflect the confusion. The Hebrew root from the word balal means, "to confound" and refers to the confusion at the Tower of Babel. The apocalyptic Babylon is the confusion that this last day church is under during the end of the times of the Gentiles and of the influence that is brought to the whole social order of the world.
