Avril Lavigne is to release her own scent and beauty line. The songstress has reportedly filed an application with the U.S. patent and trademark department for her products. Amongst the items mentioned in the list are "perfumery; after-shave; bath oil; bath soap; shower gel; body shampoo" and "body lotion,” claim website ContactMusic.com. Other pop stars that have launched their perfumes include fellow singers Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Hilary Duff.

Avril hates artists who mime to their own songs on stage. In protest, Avril will only mime to other people's songs, and she refuses to ever perform an original composition. Some say this is because all her songs sound like they were written by a blind elephant with a banjo, but Avril maintains it is in protest.

Lavigne has ... covered the Goo Goo Dolls' mega-hit " Iris", actually performing a duet of the song with the band's lead singer and lyricist John Rzeznik at the Fashion Rocks concert in 2004. Lavigne has stated that "Iris" is her favorite song of all time.
