Avalon is a luxury bed & breakfast located in Sebastopol, a quaint town in West Sonoma County. From this B&B you can visit hundreds of wineries, select from countless world-class wines and enjoy breathtaking and tranquil views. Avalon offers the privacy of only three guest rooms on acres of unspoiled forest with a year-round natural creek. It’s awesome to spend the night in the forest listening to the owls hoot and wake up so close to wine tasting and all kinds of fun. Avalon provides quick access for many activities other than wine tasting, as well, including the Armstrong Redwoods State Preserve, the Pacific Ocean, the Russian River, Bodega Bay and other beautiful beaches, many relaxing and rejuvenating spas, horseback riding, hiking, cycling, hot air ballooning, golfing, mountain biking, museums, restaurants and shopping, to name a few.

According to Geoffrey and much subsequent literature, Avalon is the place where King Arthur was taken after fighting Mordred at the Battle of Camlann. Welsh and Breton tradition claimed that Arthur had never really died, but would return to lead his people against their enemies, but some later writers were less credulous, and said that Arthur had in fact died there. Geoffrey dealt with Avalon again in his Vita Merlini, in which he describes the character Morgan le Fay as the chief of nine sisters who live on Avalon. Morgan remained associated with the island in later literature, as does Arthur's mentor, the Lady of the Lake.

Toyota's flagship, the Avalon, will be redesigned for the 2006 model year. Riding on an extended wheelbase, the Avalon, with its sweeping roofline, will likely be powered by a new 3.5-liter V-6 with nearly 280 horsepower. Moving up a few notches in the luxury arena, the new Avalon will come close to competing with its Lexus siblings. Rear legroom will be nearly equal to that of the LS430, and luxury amenities will be upgraded as well. The Avalon is expected to start down the production line this coming December, with its official introduction expected at the 2005 North American International Auto Show in January.
