When she was in the eighth grade, Ashley and her family moved to California where she landed more acting jobs. She got her first credited role with voice work as Yuko, Shizuku's best friend who has a crush on Sugimura, in the English-language version of the Japanese animated feature, “Whisper of The Heart” (a.k.a.
