One of Hollywood's most celebrated actresses, Ashley Judd, is teaming up with her friend Salma Hayek on a one-hour documentary about Judd’s work with YouthAIDS. Judd is the goodwill ambassador for YouthAIDS and on this trip through Central America, she takes Hayek on an unforgettable journey. From the brothels of Guatemala City to the coast of Honduras, these women are on a mission to get the message out. It's a message of hope — these young people can change their future by changing the behavior that puts them at risk of infection.
Ashley Judd spent the day at a local community group for women in India. She began her mission earlier this month to help promote AIDS awareness in the country. Ashley is a spokesperson for Population Services International.
"Ashley Judd embodies all of the qualities that define our new brand American Beauty and we're thrilled to be working with her," stated William Lauder, Chief Operating Officer of The Estée Lauder Companies. "Ms. Judd is glamorous, elegant, intelligent while being warm and accessible and we're confident that women will connect with her."

This year's YouthAIDS gala themed, "Faces of India," highlighted the recent visit that Ashley Judd and YouthAIDS made to India. During the trip, YouthAIDS teamed up with National Geographic Channel and Bollywood stars Sushmita Sen, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan to explore how HIV travels from high-risk groups to the general population and why young women are increasingly at risk for HIV infection. The documentary, India's Hidden Plague, premiered at a special screening in Washington last Thursday and will air in the U.S. on the National Geographic Channel on November 30th at 10:00 p.m. and on December 1st, World AIDS Day globally.
