Army Men is set in Europe during the early 20th century. As part of the Green group, your object is to battle a group called Tan. The Tan are Nazi-like tyrants, armed to achieve world domination. The commander of Tan has vowed to conquer all of Green's territory and claim it for his own. The Green are fighting to protect themselves from the growing Tan threat. But the Tan's territory runs along the Green's borders, enabling Tan to invade Green from all sides. Your strategic skills will be put to the test with this military game.

Global Star Software, who picked up the license to the popular ARMY MEN series from 3DO, brings fans of the little plastic soldiers ARMY MEN: Sarge's War for the Gamecube. Following the character of Sarge, a war-scarred veteran, gamers must stop a renegade sect of the Tan Army before they can derail the signing of a peace treaty between the Green and Tan armies. A third-person perspective shooter game, Sarge's War is an easy game to pick up but a difficult one to master. The levels get progressively harder, with Sarge facing waves of enemies at a time. Fortunately, the game has a target lock feature, so Sarge can pick off his enemies one at a time. Some levels require Sarge to destroy walls, fences, or enemy artillery, and in other levels, he takes command of turret gun to wreak some major damage.

Perhaps one of the most innovative games to hit the market in a long time, ARMY MEN 3D provides fun gameplay for people of all ages. You can travel by foot or use one of the four available vehicles: a half track, a jeep, a cargo truck, or a tank. If that's not enough, ARMY MEN 3D offers a wide variety of weapons, from machine guns and mortars to bazookas and flame throwers. Don't think you'll be taking on the enemy alone, though you're in control of an entire unit of troops with one thing on their collective mind: destroy the Tan army. What bring this game to life are the animations flame throwers melt units, bazookas blow vehicles into bits, and tanks flatten plastic units. If you get a hankering to toast your friend, battle him in the Two-Player Split-Screen mode in a game of Capture the Flag.

Malice's Tans - Only appear in Army Men: Sarge's War. They plant a bomb in the statue and deliver it to the Green/Tan peace ceremony which is destroyed with all Greens (except Sarge) and all of General Plastro's Tans are destroyed. They do not look like the tans from other games. Their weapons appear to be metal and they wear objects that aren't tan.
