If you enjoyed games like Age of Empires, Army Men RTS is the game for you. Battle ants, cockroaches, spiders, and rival plastic men, melt water guns, dog bowls, etc. to collect plastic to expand your army of plastic, and don't forget that melted (dead) soldiers and vehicles can be recycled. This game is loads of fun. Great graphics with easy-to-learn gameplay along a compelling story line make this game a must buy for all fans of RTS games and the Army Men games. Althogh rated teen, this game is good for young children cause theres no blood or really bad language.
While previous versions of Army Men had the player controlling one unit, RTS puts the player in control of an entire Army from the ground up. Every unit requires prerequisites before construction can begin. For example, you can’t build an army without barracks, and you can’t build barracks without headquarters. Starting with a few units and the ever-important bulldozer, Sarge must build a base, assemble an army, and assault the enemy.
Army Men, a series of titles deemed by the majority as pretty much just a collection of average, uninspiring games. Out now for the PC, the newest game in the series is taking a new approach to the army men world. Aptly named, Army Men: RTS is the game's first dive into the pure real-time strategy environment. Does 3DO's latest attempt at the genre offer enough to get rid of the series' semi-bad name? maybe.

The Windows version of Army Men: RTS allows for multiplayer with up to eight people.[5] A copy of GameSpy Arcade was bundled with the game. Players can team up in multiplayer matches, or the battle can be a free-for-all. Victory occurs when the opposing side has no Headquarters and cannot build one in three minutes. Aside from GameSpy Arcade, connections can be made on a LAN or through a direct connection between players.

Army Men RTS Screenshots Gameplay in Army Men: RTS is pretty basic when it comes to being a RTS. You start out with a bulldozer to build your buildings with, working up the technology "tree" until you are finally able to obtain any possible unit the game has to offer. Unfortunately, the tree seems to be missing a few branches. It doesn't take very long at all to build each and every building type available in the game. Hardcore RTS fans, or even some casual ones, will quickly be bored by this, as you find yourself flying through the base building process very quickly. The number of different units at your disposal is ... limited, causing the same problem as the shortage of buildings.

army men rts game Army Men RTS was quite a big step away from the original 3rd person shooter gameplay most other Army Men games have offered. But it wasn't a bad step either. Army Men RTS offers great and easy-to-learn gameplay as well as an entertaining storyline. Fight bugs and tan soldiers as you work your way through highly detailed environments in an attempt to overthrow a former Green soldier who moved over to the tan side. Soldiers look just like the little minifigures you used to play with in the living room. Exceptionally good graphics and great gameplay.
