Armor Attack came in an upright white cabinet, with stick-on sideart featuring a tank scene and a yellow 'Armor Attack' logo. This was the same cabinet used for "Star Castle" and a number of other Cinematronics titles. The top of the cabinet is adorned with a rather plain marquee that has the Armor Attack logo in yellow on a black background; together with a few game instructions. The control panel had a picture of a green and yellow tank, and had the player controls which consisted of 10 pushbuttons, without a joystick to be seen anywhere (the game controls are almost exactly the same as "Asteroids" or "Star Castle", except that your jeep stops moving when the player stops pressing the move button). Most of the graphical time was spent on the monitor bezel and overlay, which showed a single scene of a ruined town.

Attack Armor Batman fares a bit better, but he still has his flaws. He lacks Bat Signal Batman’s expressive ball-jointed neck, having only a cut joint. This isn’t really all that bad, but it’s still disappointing if you consider how well they were able to pull off the neck joint on the other figure. The rest of the upper body articulation is similar to Bat Signal Batman, except for the lack of hinge joints on the wrists, and the more limited range of movement on the torso joint. The lower body articulation here, though, is the real winner, and probably a first for 6-inch-scale Batman figures. Attack Armor Batman has dual hip joints (allow for forward, backward and side to side movements), mid-thigh cut joints, pin knees and dual ankle joints, allowing for forward, backward and side to side movements as well.

Mr. Skelly's reply is here. Check it out! You won't be sorry you did. Brian's arcade history page is here. Thanks Brian and Tim!
armorattack-euro.jpg (34447 bytes) Games 2 and 3 in Armor Attack allow the user to use buttons 1 and 2 as left and right. This qualifies Armor Attack as a LRTF game, meaning that one can play the game with the buttons only with the four buttons representing left, right, thrust, fire. This means that the game can be played with an Atari 2600 controller plugged in, instead of a standard Vectrex controller. If one wants the red fire button to function as the fire button in the game though, then the controller needs to be modified.
Z-9W is the first indigenous anti-armor attack helicopter devrived from the license-built AS-365N. Its main armament are four HJ-8A wire-guided ATGMs (range 600-3,000m, armor penetration >800mm). Besides anti-tank missiles, it can carry ... two 57mm/90mm rocket pods, or two 12.7mm machine gun pods, or two 23mm cannons, or four TY-90 IR-guided AAMs. The helicopter wears a combat camouflage but is lightly armored. It also lacks effective counter-measures against IR and laser guided SAMs. However one prototype has been fitted with an IRCM system (similar to American AN/ALQ-144) behind the main rotor.

The 3rd battalion was given the mission of holding a defensive line against potential German armor attack. Probing patrols were dispatched to recon for enemy troop concentrations and strength. Information developed from POW interrogations revealed that the regiment was opposing the 7th Company of the 901 German Lehr Regiment of the battle hardened 130th Panzer Lehr Division which held Waldhambach and had been one of Germany's strongest units in the west at the time of the Allied landings at Normandy. The 7th company consisted of only 80 men but were supported by 4 German Mark IV tanks as well as another 4 Panthers. Not known at the time, the second company of the 901 Panzer Grenadier Regiment of the 130th Division as well as elements of the 119th Panzer Grenadier regiment were being held in reserve. The total German force in and around Waldhambach totaled 400 men, 8 tanks and 25 armored cars.
