Consider for a minute that Ariel Sharon is going to let his son Omri go to jail for a crime that he, Ariel Sharon, actually initiated, planned, committed, and benefitted from. You really have to ask yourself what sort of father would do a thing like that, and what sort of person that father must be to do a thing like that. And whether a corrupt and unprincipled person and father like that is a fit leader for a nation.

Ariel Sharon and his sons reside at their 800+ acre family farm, Sycamore Farm, in the northern Negev, Havat Hashikmim. The original house burned down in December, 1999 but has been rebuilt.

Ariel Sharon is twice widowed. His first wife, Margalit, was killed in an automobile accident. His second wife, Lily, died of lung cancer in 2000. He has two surviving sons, Omri and Gilad. A third son, Gur, died in 1967.

Pat Robertson apologized to Ariel Sharon's son, Omri, for being “inappropriate and insensitive” when he said that Sharon's illness was God's punishment. It remained unclear... whether Robertson would once again be permitted to build a theme park by the Sea of Galilee.
