April Hunter became involved in wrestling as a WCW valet back in 1999...but it didn't take long for her to realize that she needed more. She needed to be inside of the ropes competing! So this beautiful redhead went into training, quickly becoming one of the most-popular indy wrestlers of the early 21st century. Unfortunately, injuries forced April to retire from in-ring competition in late-2007. At the age of 14, April Hunter began modeling. When she was 19 she embarked on her centerfold career and has appeared in nearly every men's and fitness magazine. She competed in fitness briefly placing in Ms. Fitness Philadephia and Ironwoman Tri-Fitness, but preferred beging a fitness centerfold. Her amazonian physique and exotic yet girl-next-door looks kept her in high demand.

On August 28 2002 Hunter made one appearance as a TNA Knockout for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. She was defeated by Miss TNA Bruce as part of his Miss TNA Challenge. Post match Bruce continued the assault until then-boyfriend Slyk Wagner Brown made the save.

In 2000 Hunter was hired by Terry Taylor on behalf of World Championship Wrestling (after they saw her layout in Playboy) as a member of the "Black and White" nWo. Along with four other models (Tylene Buck, Pamela Paulshock, Midajah O'Hearn and Kim Kanner) she accompanied members of the nWo to ringside for their matches. Hunter left WCW later that year to become a fully trained wrestler.
