Apostles: Greek Peter
built 639 days ago
The Apostles were God-fearing people. Only a religious tie bound them to Jesus. Their integrity, justice and mercy cannot be denied. They were diligent, honest and pious people, and above all dedicated to the Lord and to His command. They were not men of high education, but neither were they illiterate. Most of them spoke Aramaic and Greek.

Until the 15th century, it was believed that the Apostles’ Creed was written by the apostles. It is now known that the creed is not of apostolic origin, but the title itself suggests that each clause of the creed can be traced to New Testament references and that the creed originated very early. Its immediate ancestor is the so-called Old Roman creed, which is based on a Greek formula of faith dating to the early 2nd century.

Unlike those who claim miraculous healings today the apostles healed totally and instantaneously. It was permanent not as some claim today that one must continue in faith or the devil will steal it away. They were able to heal all such as Paul on the Island of Malta in Acts 28 healed Publius and the rest of the people who had diseases came to him. He was ... able to be unaffected by a poisenous snake. They healed organic disease on those from birth. They raised the dead . Peter raised Dorcas Acts 9:36-42, Paul raised Eutyches back to life after he fell 3 stories Acts 20:6-12.

David Cannistraci wrote “Apostles and the Emerging Apostolic Movement” in 1996. It is stated that it is, “A Biblical look at Apostleship and how God is blessing His church today.” Bill Bright, David Yonggi Cho, Ted Haggard and Cindy Jacobs are some of the many endorsers. Cannistraci's close friend and mentor, C. Peter Wagner, has declared this book to be required reading for all his “Fuller” students.
