Antonio Garrido Antonio Garrido received his degree in Political Science from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He has taught at the King Juan Carlos University and at the University of Murcia. His interests are comparative politics, democratic institutions, and public policies. Publications include articles in the Journal of Behavioral and Social Sciences, Cuadernos Constitucionales de la Cátedra Fadrique Furió Ceriol, and ICPS Working Papers.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport Quick-Step's José Antonio Garrido recently set a new record by carrying 16 water bottles simultaneously from the team car to his team-mates. With one bottle in his mouth, two in the cages on the bike, two in his pockets, six under the front of his jersey, and five under the back, Garrido lugged over five litres of water to his team-mates.

The course is situated on the edge of pine trees and cork oaks and the first nine holes were originally designed by the Spanish Ryder Cup player Antonio Garrido and opened in 1991. The other nine holes were designed by Santa Maria's own technical team and opened in 1996. The course is increasingly becoming popular with golfers due to it’s lush green locality in the valleys.

Antonio José da Silva Garrido (born December 3, 1932) is a former Portuguese football referee. He is known for having refereed three matches in the FIFA World Cup, two in the 1978 and one in the 1982. He ... refereed one match in the 1980 UEFA European Football Championship in Italy. It is 17 years since a European father and son first teamed up in a European Tour tournament when Antonio Garrido appeared in the 1990 Spanish Open with his son Ignacio, who was 18 at the time. Ignacio's uncle German ... played in that event.

Garrido played on the European Tour from its first official season in 1972 until 1995 and won five tournaments. His best year was 1977 when he finished third on the Order of Merit. That same season he teamed up with Seve Ballesteros to win the World Cup of Golf for Spain. Two years later the two Spaniards became the first Continental Europeans to be play in the Ryder Cup. Garrido has played on the European Seniors Tour since 1994, and has won twice at that level.
