New Jersey, Antonella Barba was busy studying architecture at the Catholic University in Washington, D.C. when she decided to try out for season 6 of American Idol. Antonella has been singing since she was in sixth grade. At the age of 20, she and 23 other Idol contestants competed for a much-coveted spot on the Final 12. gotten the opportunity to go on tour with the Monmouth Conservatory of Music. Piano and violin are her instruments of choice. She likes listening to Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder and Justin Timberlake.

Antonella Barba increased an incredible 47,400% last week. The "American Idol" contestant appeared in some nude photos which popped up on the Internet and could jeopardize her future in the competition. Ironically, this "scandal" is at least getting people talking about her, as her singing is entirely forgettable. (As Simon put it, "The good news is that you're attractive...") Antonella is scheduled to perform on "Idol" this evening. Will Ryan or Simon make any mention of the lascivious photos during their weirdly charged banter? (Doubtful.

Antonella Barba is still in American Idol for all the wrong reasons. Her singing is mediocre and yet she insists on choosing songs that are way too big for her squeaky voice to handle. Unless you have been living under a rock, Antonella Barba has been in the news and at the top of search engines since pictures of her frollicking semi-nude at parties began circulating on the internet.
