Anouk is alive! Anouk gave an interview on the Belgium radio! Anouk told that the show on TW classic on July 7th is going to be the only one show this year. Anouk is going to America a few days after the show, to record all the songs of her new album. The album is going to be a rock album!

Shortly afterwards, Anouk went to the United States in order to get a record deal. Negotiations with her American label (Sony) ended badly, causing her to return to the Netherlands without a deal. She released a new song, Don't, and began touring the Netherlands in February 2001.

Anouk does what she wants, thats a statement. Usually before an album comes out the artist or record company has already decided wich singles will come out, but this time Anouk leaves it to fate. The fans decide wich song wil be the next single following Good God. The song wich wil be choosen, depens on wich songs are mostly played on anouk's myspace and wich song is most downloaded on itunes.

The crowd pleaser Nobody's Wife is released as a single ahead of Anouk's debut album in August '97. The track works its way through various international charts, and even goes platinum in the Netherlands, which is a real boost for the upcoming release of Anouk's first album Together Alone, that comes out a few months later. This impressive piece of work mainly contains songs that Anouk herself wrote, aided by her good friend Bart van Veen. Together Alone achieves international success, partly due to the hit Nobody's Wife, and goes to number one in the Dutch album charts (where it has now reached quadruple platinum), and spends long periods of time in the Swedish, Belgian, Danish and Italian charts.

Thursday 10 November, Gazet Van Antwerpen headlined the show with : Anouk generous for Sportpaleis ! And sure she was ! With almost thirty songs in one evening, this show in the round will be never forgotten !
