  1. Another World
[One] World wasn't your typical early '90s videogame. Almost entirely a solo project, visionary young Frenchman Eric Chahi fused his artistic talents with his programming nous to deliver one of the most memorable videogames of the 16-bit era.
  2. Joker -- Stories
In that story, the Joker was an unnamed engineer who quit his job at a chemical company to become a stand-up comedian, only to fail, miserably. Desperate to support his pregnant wife, he agreed to guide two criminals into the plant for a robbery. During the planning, the police came and informed him that his wife had just died in a household accident. Grief-stricken, the engineer tried to withdraw from the plan, but the criminals strong-armed him into keeping his commitment to them.
  3. Abraham -- Stories
[T]he story is there and the text does present Abraham as something less than a model of faith, part of a larger narrative in which Abraham seems to act in very unfaithful ways on many occasions. There are elements on that broader vista that tell us that perhaps a different story is at work than what we have assumed, that maybe the actual biblical text of Genesis wants to tell us the story in a different way than we want to hear it.
  4. Comics -- Stories
Comics, as sequential art, emphasise the pictorial representation of a narrative. This means comics are not an illustrated version of standard literature, and while some critics argue that they are a hybrid form of art and literature, others contend comics are a new and separate art; an integrated whole, of words and images both, where the pictures do not just depict the story, but are part of the telling. In comics, creators transmit expression through arrangement and juxtaposition of either pictures alone, or word(s) and picture(s), to build a narrative.
  5. Blogs -- Stories
Blogs appear on the news pretty often these days. For example, a reporter is tipped to a story by a blog, or a blog reports another angle on a story. Blogs show up in magazines a lot, too.
  6. Koran -- Stories
The Koran contains many Biblical characters, but the stories are mixed up. The variations came from either the Jewish Haggada or the New Testament apocrypha or they are simply mistakes made by a listener (e.g. Haman is believed to be the minister of Pharaoh, and Mary is believed to be the sister of Aaron).
  7. Inuyasha -- Stories
Featuring all your favorite characters from the hit TV show, the first Inuyasha fighting game for the PlayStation 2 features a mission mode, a battle mode for versus gameplay, practice mode and a story mode. Featuring an original battle system, the game allows you to partner with another character, select the best formation system and develop and strengthen your fighting partnership, and destroy objects around you as you battle to take out the opposition.
  8. Roseanne -- Stories
Roseanne misses Dan, so she visits Nana Mary (Shelley Winters) with Leon (Martin Mull) and Scott (Fred Willard). Nana Mary (Shelley Winters) tells stories about her rebellious past and leaves everyone with very sound advice. ~ Andrea LeVasseur, All Movie Guide
  9. Thales -- Stories
Thales was not Democratic. One story has him living with Thrasybulus, tyrant of Miletus. In his letter to Solon he offers to live elsewhere with him, seeing that Solon finds tyranny so offensive. Ancient philosophers in general tended to support benign tyranny, such as Plato’s ideal philosopher-king. Unquestionably, sages were more at home with absolutism than with democratic forms of government. They could not resist undertaking to reform the morals of the citizens, with well-known results.
  10. Maple Story
In Maple Story, there are cities that players hang around when they're not abusing defenseless mushrooms. In reality, Maple Story is planting subliminal messages in the process, making you want to visit the real-life version of a city in Maple Story. Some of the more popular cities favored by 2nd job people are Ludibrium(which is Lego Land), Omega Sector(which is the National Air/Space Museum), AquaRoad(which is Sea World), Orbis(which is San Francisco, because of the clouds and fog) and El Nath(which is a mountain community up in Nevada, but for some reason, it has a Spanish name). Asian Story of a Maple have about 34 times more cities, but they're not nearly as populated. (216 people are spread out over 127 cities, rather than, in the case of MapleStory 350,000,000 people are located in just 4 cities.)
