Born June 20, 1945 in the coal-mining town of Springhill, Nova Scotia, Anne Murray was the only daughter of six children born to Dr. Carson and Marion Murray. She took piano and voice lessons, and literally brought the audience to tears with her vocal rendition of "Ave Maria" at graduation. Anne Murray Anne Murray hit the big time. Suddenly she was in demand and making appearances all over North America. When she became a regular on Glen Campbell's television show, her popularity increased even more. It was a chaotic and exhausting time, and Anne felt she was burning out. So she picked up the phone and called up an old friend - Leonard Rambeau. Anne first met Leonard when she was teaching Phys Ed and he hired her to sing at a benefit for a youth group.

Anne Murray Tickets Anne Murray was born in Nova Scotia and grew up listening to all the pop music that her parents listened to and the Top 40 played in Canada at the time. Music was one of Murray's hobbies but never something serious as she was going to school to become a physical education teacher. Murray decided to take it more seriously when she was offered a record deal and came out with "Snowbird" in 1970, which was a crossover song between country and pop. Throughout the '70s and '80s Murray was successful with her music that boarder lined country and pop. Murray is back on stage and have a chance to see her live with some tickets.
