A grief-stricken Anne Hathaway and Raffaello Follieri visit the Waverly Inn in NYC on January 25, 2008. Continuing to emerge as one of Hollywood's most engaging talents, Anne Hathaway is currently in production on Becoming Jane, about the early life of writer Jane Austen. Her most recent credit was Ang Lee's critically acclaimed and much-lauded drama, Brokeback Mountain, opposite Jake Gyllenhaal, Heath Ledger, and Michelle Williams. Brokeback Mountain was awarded the Golden Lion at the 2005 Venice Film Festival and went on to win virtually every award it was nominated for, and eventually won two Oscars. She starred in the independent drama Havoc, directed by Barbara Kopple, and provided the voice for Red in the animated film Hoodwinked.

Anne Hathaway silenced her detractors with a vengeance after she agreed to appear in the R-rated 2005 drama Havoc, in which she played a rebellious teen who spends much of the movie in various states of undress. That same year, Anne starred opposite Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger in the controversial Western Brokeback Mountain (which went on to garner eight Academy Award nominations). Anne Hathaway’s desire to find a starring role that straddled the line between family-friendly and adult-oriented material was answered in 2006 when she took on the part of Andy Sachs in the sleeper smash The Devil Wears Prada.
