Lake Anna is the second largest fresh-water inland lake in Virginia, with over 250 miles of shoreline and some 13,000 surface acres of water. Lake Anna has become Central Virginia's premier choice for water sports and fishing. Initially known as a vacation community, the number of full time residents has grown steadily since the lake was created in 1972.

In the Spring of 2001, Anna Sui threw a party that was filmed to be used as the backdrop for her Fall 2001 Fashion Show. The short black-and-white film was directed by Zoe Cassavettes (with cinematography by Noah Bogen). The scene was meant to evoke the spirit of Andy Warhol's Pop-period Factory parties. Some of the party guests were: Vincent Gallo, James Iha, Maggie Rizer, Duncan Sheik, Carmen Cass, Rufus Wainright, Verushka, Marc Jacobs, Karen Elson and George Condo.

On New Year's Eve, Anna found herself lonely and morose at a New Year party. She went to Seth's house, and the New Year saw the two of them making out on Seth's bed. Their relationship had a rocky start, with both Anna and Seth afraid to tell Summer, whom they had both become friends with. When they did, she seemed fine with it, but it became apparent that she was determined to break them up. While on holidays in Palm Springs, Anna and Seth seemed likely to sleep together. But a few 'innocent' comments from Summer about them being like brother and sister put a halt to that.

Anna Sui was inspired this season by a beautiful exhibition at the Neue Gallerie on the Wiener Werkstaette designer Dagobert Peche (1887-1923), and by Winter Sports: snowboarding and skiing. Antique and Street elements are mixed: there are vintage dresses, puffy jackets, flapper shoes, knit caps, après ski mukluks, badges and patches. Art Deco enameled jewelry inspires the color-palette: jade and coral with black and cream...mixed with lots of antiqued golds, bronzes and coppers. The shapes are asymmetrical and geometric. There are shorter lengths, drop waists and sporty details. The mix is Casual with Fancy, Functional with Formal.

Anna was born on August 5th 1981, in Adelaide, South Australia. At age 5 her mother died, leaving her to grow up with her father, Jim, and brother, Willy. Anna was always involved in sports and at age 13 she began to play golf.
