Anna Vissi is Greece's major singing sensation. She is considered the Greek version of Madonna. No, not the bra wearing, boundary-pushing Madonna, but the "I've been in the game long, and I am still successful" Madonna.

According to Radio Dj Natalia Germanou from Sfera FM, Anna Vissi will include 4 new songs with her Live CD that will be released at the beginning of December. Along with the Live Cd there will be a DVD with clips from Anna's performances in Greece and all around the world.

During an interview on Love Radio Fm, Anna Vissi confirmed her interest to participate in Eurovision 2006 under specific conditions for which she gave no details. Anna Vissi represented Greece in 1980 (13th) and Cyprus in 1982 (5th). She one of the few artists in Greece which are called Super Star.

Vissi was born in 1957, in the village of Pyla, in Larnaca, Cyprus. She has been singing from a very early age, beginning formal musical studies at the age of six at a local conservatory. At the age of twelve she entered a talent competition and won first prize. Two years later, she was the main singer at Y. Kotsonis opus Ayia Tilliria, which was ... her first TV appearance. In 1973, her family moved to Athens, Greece where she was able to pursue her studies at the National Conservatory. She would eventually appear with a number of well-known Greek singers, such as George Dalaras, Haris Alexiou, and Vasilis Papakonstantinou, in the famous nightclubs of Plaka, in Athens.

Born in Cyprus, Anna started her musical career at the early age of six, by attending the Cyprus Conservatory. At 12, she won the first prize at a local song contest. Her mother was soon convinced of her daughter's talent and moved the entire family to Greece, where she thought better opportunities existed for her musical career.
