Reality star Anna Nicole Smith is dead, her lawyer told FOX News Thursday. Smith was found unresponsive Thursday in her Hard Rock Hotel room in Hollywood, Fla., FOX affiliate WSVN is reporting. Emergency responders performed CPR at the scene and a breathing apparatus was inserted in her throat, hotel officials told TMZ.com. Smith was immediately transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood just after 2 p.m. EST. Local streets were closed off to rush Smith to the hospital, three miles away. Paramedics were seen pumping her chest as she was taken from the hotel. Smith, 39, was hospitalized for a week last November with pneumonia."

The U.S. Trustee Program thinks a broad "probate exception" to federal court jurisdiction would gum up the bankruptcy system.

When she was in the 9th grade, she was sent to live with her mother's younger sister, Kay Beall, in Mexia, Texas.[8] At Mexia High School, Anna Nicole failed her freshman year and later quit school during her sophomore year.[9]

: The Seminole County Police Chief, Charlie Tiger, just gave a press conference and said Anna's bodyguard performed CPR around 1:45 p.m. on Anna in her hotel room. Anna ... had a private female nurse with her at the time and Anna's private nurse is the person who called 911. Anna was pronounced dead at 2:49 p.m.

A personal nurse traveling with Ms. Smith called the hotel operator at 1:38 p.m. to report she had found Ms. Smith alone and unconscious in her sixth-floor suite, the police said. Ms. Smith’s bodyguard arrived a few minutes later and tried to revive her with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as did paramedics, who arrived after 2 p.m., they said, but she was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital at 2:49 p.m. The office of the Broward County Medical Examiner was to perform an autopsy on Friday morning.
