Penthouse, Anna Kournikova, in dispute over nude photos Exclusive nude photos of Anna Kournikova "caught close up on a nude beach" are promised on the June cover of Penthouse, which went on sale this week. An attorney representing the magazine said Penthouse believes the pictures are real, but representatives of Kournikova claim it isn't the Russian professional tennis player. A spokesman for Octagon, which represents Kournikova, claims that not one of the 12 nude photos is of Kournikova and the agency plans legal action. "People who know Anna and see the photos will immediately recognize these are not photos of her," Octagon spokesman David Schwab said. "Penthouse has left us no alternative but to pursue legal action and protect our client's rights and interests. "The topless photographs in the article are so dissimilar to Miss Kournikova that the magazine acted either intentionally or with reckless disregard for the truth in order to exploit our client and make a profit."

[W]ait...Anna Kournikova plays tennis too? Wow. Of course, guys don't drool all over this Russian knockout because of her ground strokes and overhand serve, and for good reason. Constantly criticized by her peers for all the attention she receives, Anna's not exactly an elite pro on the WTA Tour. In fact, the 22-year-old Kournikova is still in search of her first tournament singles victory and her 186-124 career record is rather ordinary. And now, she's dealing with a serious back injury that may force her to retire prematurely.

She should have stretched first Kournikova first noticed Russian ice hockey player Sergei Fedorov when she attended one of his hockey games and he accidentally hit her in the face with the puck. Fedorov caught up with her later and appologised for pucking her in the face and gave her his stick to make up for it, which he then signed. Feeling that she must reciprocate this gift, Anna gave him a pair of balls that happened to be in her handbag. They went off to dinner together. Although they planned to go as a pair, they met Fedorov's friend, Roger on the way and decided to go as a threesome. The encounter was widely reported in the tabloid press who employed much subtle innuendo.
